- Co-Submitter:

- From:

TITLE:
Consideration and Approval of Cooperative Purchase Contract: With Advanced Network Management, Inc. for the purchase of Cisco security software licenses.
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
- Approve a Cooperative Purchase Contract with Advanced Network Management, Inc. for the purchase of Cisco security software licenses in an amount not to exceed $321,317.35 (plus applicable taxes and fees) over a five (5)-year term; and
- Authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary documents.
Executive Summary:
The recommended award of the Cooperative Purchase Contract will allow for continued use of the Cisco security software licensing systems, and provide more functionality than the City's existing licensing structure at a lower annual price; this includes Cisco Secure Access (Internet and Prive Access), Cisco AnyConnect, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco Firepower Threat Defense, and Cisco ISE. The Cooperative Purchase Contract is based on the State of Arizona Cooperative Purchase Contract No. CTR059864-14 with Advanced Network Management, Inc.
Financial Impact:
The total cost for the five (5)- year term is not to exceed $321,317.35 (plus applicable taxes and fees), in the form of an annual cost of $64,263.47 (plus applicable taxes and fees). The charges are funded by the General Fund, Information Technology division on account number 001-01-014-0049-1-4229.
Policy Impact:
None.
Previous Council Decision or Community Discussion:
None.
Options and Alternatives to Recommended Action:
Options and alternatives should this proposal not be approved would be the purchase of an alternative remote access and secure DNS platform. Loss of these software suites would result in staff losing essential remote access capabilities, greatly hindering staff in completing their necessary job functions.
Background and History:
City of Flagstaff IT team uses these products to enable secure remote access for our general employees, FFD, and FFD staff. We are renewing our efforts and making strides to be even more secure, easy to use, and offer broader functionality through this new agreement.
