(For information purposes only)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), along with partners at Arizona Office of Tourism, contracted with Northern Arizona University (NAU) W.A. Franke College of Business Research Center, to have them conduct a year-long visitor intercept study. The information collected gives us insight into the demographics, psychographics, and behaviors of our visiting public.
INFORMATION:
The CVB, along with their partner at Arizona Office of Tourism, conducted a study to better understand who our visitors are, what their primary motivators are, and what they like to do when they are in Flagstaff and our surrounding area. This information is used for marketing and promotion purposes, as an economic development resource, and lends leisure travel information for our airport. All of this data is provided to our industry partners and used in our discussions for the economic vitality division.
This type of study is conducted on average every three to four years which is within the industry standard range. Our last study was performed in 2014 - 2015.
