EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Since the beginning of the Community Stewards Program in the late 1990s, the City has made significant progress on growing the program and educating the general public about Flagstaff’s continuing litter issues. Staff will highlight accomplishments from 2019 and discuss plans for the coming year. |

| INFORMATION: Connection to Council Goal and/or Regional Plan: Council Goals: Environmental and Natural Resources Code Compliance Regional Plan: Goal E&C.3. Strengthen community and natural environment resiliency through climate adaptation efforts. Goal WR.5. Manage watersheds and stormwater to address flooding concerns, water quality, environmental protections, and rainwater harvesting. Goal CC.2. Preserve, restore, and rehabilitate heritage resources to better appreciate our culture. Goal LU.11. Prioritize the continual reinvigoration of downtown Flagstaff, whose strategic location, walkable blocks, and historic buildings will continue to be a vibrant destination for all. Goal LU.12.
