Executive Summary:
On April 17, 2017, Councilmember McCarthy requested a Future Agenda Item Request (F.A.I.R.) to have a presentation given by a representative of the National Association of Railroad Passengers and discussion of a possible resolution urging the U.S. Congress to support long-distance train service. These items were presented at the Council's September 26, 2017, Work Session and a majority of Council wished to consider a resolution. Suggested changes have been included in the attached resolution for Council consideration.
