TITLE:
Consideration of Appointment and Agreement for Services: Interim City Manager.
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Appoint Barbara Goodrich as the Interim City Manager effective February 12, 2018, for the City of Flagstaff for an appointment extending up to eight (8) months and approve her Agreement for Services.
Executive Summary:
The Flagstaff City Council approved the separation and release agreement for City Manager Josh Copley effective February 12, 2018. Barbara Goodrich was appointed as Acting City Manager during the Special Council Meeting on February 12, 2018. This recommendation is to appoint Barbara Goodrich as the Interim City Manager and approve the Agreement for Services for February 12, 2018 through October 12, 2018.
Financial Impact:
The City Manager salary and benefits are currently budgeted.
Policy Impact:
The Interim City Manager position shall fulfill the Powers and Duties as described in the Flagstaff City Charter Article III and the Flagstaff City Code Title 1 Section 1-08-001-0003.
Connection to Council Goal, Regional Plan and/or Team Flagstaff Strategic Plan:
The Interim City Manager position is supportive in the planning and preparation of items connected to the Council Goals, Regional Plan and Team Flagstaff Strategic Plan.
