TITLE
2018 Ballot Discussion: Potential Housing Measure.
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Council Discussion and Direction to Staff on November 2018 Potential Ballot Measure for Housing.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On April 10 and May 29, 2018 staff presented information on a potential housing measure to be included in the 2018 general election ballot. Presentations have included survey results from the community, governance and structure specifically related to an advisory committee, and how the funds could be spent. Direction from Council is needed on whether a bond question related to housing should be placed on the November ballot. Should Council wish to proceed, further feedback is needed regarding the amount and specific ballot language.
Staff will bring the proposed ballot to the June 19, 2018 meeting. The questions must be called no later than the July 3, 2018 Council meeting.
