Letter of Support for adding May Hicks Curtis House to America's 11 Most Endangered Historic Places for 2025

Endorse a Letter of Support addressed to the National Trust for Historic Preservation

In conjunction with an application for grant funding to support saving the May Hicks House from demolition, the City is proposing that the National Trust for Historic Preservation consider the property for listing on its annual list of the 11 Most Endangered Historic Places. Being on this list creates a high-impact public awareness campaign designed to galvanize community, non-profit, executive, and legislative work around community action and gathering resources and funds to preserve historic resources.  

This status would increase opportunities to seek funding for the project and leverage media and partnerships.
