FINDINGS:
The Certificate of No Effect application was reviewed and approved by the Heritage Preservation Officer.
INFORMATION:
At the April 16, 2025 meeting, the Heritage Preservation Commission approved a Level 1 Historic Signs and Facades Grant application to replace seven aluminum slider windows on the upper stories of the house at 615 W. Cherry Ave. This Certificate of No Effect application was submitted along with a building permit application for the window project and includes the same scope of work as approved in the grant application.
This building is located within the Townsite Historic Overlay Zone. The building was constructed circa 1910-1916 and is non-contributing to the Flagstaff Townsite Historic Residential District due to alterations including the upper story addition with aluminum slider windows. The owner/applicant proposes to replace the aluminum windows with white, vinyl windows. The window openings were designed for slider-style windows, and the owner/applicant proposes to keep the slider style to best conform to the opening size and shape. The historic first story windows will not be replaced.
