Executive Summary:
On February 28, 2017, Mayor Evans asked staff to prepare a resolution that reaffirms the City's commitment to diversity, community, and fairness. The attached resolution outlines the City's of Flagstaff support and commitment to diversity.

Reaffirms the City's commitment to diversity through its Strategic Plan that outlines Social Justice as one of its twelve goals.

- On February 28, 2017,Mayor Evans asked staff to prepare a resolution that reaffirms the City's commitment to diversity, community, and fairness.
- On December 20, 2016, Mayor Evans placed an item under Future Agenda Item Requests(F.A.I.R.) to determine if others were interested in placing an item on a future agenda to discuss he reaffirmation of City's resolutions speaking to Flagstaff's commitment to diversity, community, and fairness.
- On September 5, 2006, the City Council adopted Resolution 2006-62, Partnership with the National League of Cities. in Working Toward Inclusive Communities and Affirming the City of Flagstaff's Commitment to Promoting Inclusion in Our Community.
- On November 18, 2008 the City Council adopted Resolution 2008-68, Declaring Flagstaff to be a "Golden Rule City."
- On March 5, 2013 the City Council adopted Chapter 14-02 of the Civil Rights Ordinance.
