TITLE
Bond Public Outreach Plan
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
City staff will inform City Council what is included in the bond public outreach plan.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
City Council agreed on ballot measures to refer to a Citizen Bond Committee for recommendations in April 2021. The Citizen Bond Committee members met from November 2021 through May 2022 to craft recommendations for City Council's consideration. In June 2022 City Council heard the Citizen Bond Committee recommendations and advanced two (2) bond measures to the November 8, 2022 election ballot.
INFORMATION:
City Council advanced two (2) bond measures - infrastructure and housing. The infrastructure bond includes wildfire suppression, stormwater flood mitigation, and wastewater treatment infrastructure. The housing bond measure includes rental and homeownership opportunities for residents of Flagstaff. City staff have been working together, along with NuPoint Marketing, to create a public outreach plan and materials. This information will be shared with City Council in the attached presentation.
