TITLE:
Retroactive approval of letter of support: Transportation Alternatives Program grant application
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Retroactively approve the letter of support.
Executive Summary:
City staff received a request for a letter of support for Metroplan/ Coconino National Forest’s Transportation Alternatives Program grant application for the Mount Elden Urban Trail design. The trail design project offers transportation alternatives to high injury crash areas, US 89 and Cedar Ave and connects East and West Flagstaff to provide alternative community opportunities across the City. This request falls within the City’s Environmental Funding and Partnership legislative priority, which supports trails and related initiatives. City staff have sent the attached letter to Metroplan staff to meet the grant application deadline.
