TITLE:
Consideration of Appointments: Transportation Commission
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
- Mayor Daggett to make one appointment.
- Councilmember Matthews to make one appointment.
- Councilmember Spence to make one appointment.
Executive Summary:
The Transportation Commission consists of seven voting members (a representative from the Flagstaff Unified School District, Mountain Line, and five citizens) and two non-voting members (City Transportation Director/Traffic Engineer and a Police Department representative). The Transportation Commission reviews requests for changes in traffic regulations and formulates and recommends traffic-related policies and ordinances to the City Council.

Options and Alternatives to Recommended Action:
- Appoint three Commissioners: By appointing members at this time, the Transportation Commission will be at full membership, allowing the group to meet and provide recommendations to the City Council.
- Postpone the action to allow for further discussion or expand the list of candidates.
