MISSION STATEMENT
A commission to foster support, respect, awareness and appreciation of diversity among all citizens of Flagstaff.
LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The Commission on Diversity Awareness humbly acknowledges the ancestral homelands of this area's Indigenous nations and original stewards. These lands, still inhabited by Native descendants, border mountains sacred to Indigenous peoples. We honor them, their legacies, their traditions, and their continued contributions. We celebrate their past, present, and future generations who will forever know this place as home.

To bring more local voices into climate action and decision making, the Sustainability Office is initiating
Climate Advisory Groups. We are reaching out to our Commissions and Committees to ask for the opportunity to give a short presentation to provide information and build capacity for the advisory groups.

MetroPlan: Stride Forward Regional Transportation Plan update

Stride Forward Regional Transportation Plan. Stride Forward will look 20-25 years into the future at transportation needs and opportunities through the lens of today's challenges: climate change, equity, housing. MetroPlan's members include the City of Flagstaff, Coconino County, Arizona Department of Transportation, Mountain Line and NAU. Our past plans have been instrumental in the development and passage of key transportation taxes.
