Downtown Mile, Milton Road Underpass Photography: Cristen Crujido, Beautification, Arts & Sciences Project Administrator and Laura Mielcarek, Tucson Studio Director J2 Designs
Ms. Mielcarek will present the background and screen design for the project and Ms. Crujido will amplify with the photography/photographers selected. (Presentation 8-10 minutes)

Recommended Art Proposal Approvals for Multicultural County Park Sculpture Exhibition Year 4: Cristen Crujido, Beautification, Arts & Sciences Project Administrator
Ms. Crujido will present the selection process and the five proposals, and two alternates, recommended for the exhibition by the selection panel (Presentation 8-10 minutes).

Proposition 404 & 405: Mark Gaillard, Fire Chief; Collin Seay, Deputy Police Chief; Daniel Kelly, Emergency Program Manager; Brian Gall, Airport Director; and Shannon Anderson, Deputy City Manager
An educational presentation on ballot initiatives, Prop 404 & 405, will be given. Prop 404 proposes to increase TPT tax by 0.5% to enhance public safety services. Prop 405 would authorize a $40M bond to invest in public safety infrastructure and equipment. (Presentation 30 minutes)

Dark Skies BIA Grant Update: Dr. Danielle Adams, Executive Director of Flagstaff Dark Skies Coalition
Dr. Adams will give a brief presentation to update and thank the commission of the outcome of the Beautification in Action Grant administered to fund a summer Full Moon concert Series. (Presentation 5 minutes)

New Project Potential, Traveling Exhibition: Cristen Crujido, Beautification, Arts & Sciences Project Administrator
Ms. Crujido will present the opportunity to mount the temporary traveling exhibition: Alebrijes & Nahuales: Fantastic Animals from Mexico, currently on tour in the United States through 2028. These monumental artworks are reproductions of colorful Mexican folk-art sculptures, usually taking the form of magical animals. (Presentation 5-8 minutes)

E.
BPAC and BAS’s Potential Coconino Community College Campus: Jana Weldon, Beautification, Arts & Sciences Program Manager
Ms. Weldon will initiate the discussion. Following the passage of a capital bond, CCC has been actively developing the design and planning. There are ongoing negotiations between the City and the County in regard to the design of the East Branch Library. Designs could come forth in February or March 2027 with construction possibly initiating in late May 2027. In addition, there is a city parcel on the Southeast corner of the roundabout that could be integrated into the roundabout design or the campus boundary. In the BAS’s 5-year plan, the sole project is the area is the 4th St. & Lockett roundabout, which should be initiated sometime in FY27. Commissioner McCord requested this discussion item to explore BPAC’s role to bring art and beautification to this campus. Staff will advise on potential ideas and possible limitations.
