APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Approval of Minutes from the meeting on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.

PUBLIC HEARING
 
A.
PZ-19-00187 Lake Mary Road and I-17 Zoning Text Amendment
This request is for a Zoning Code Text Amendment to amend Section 10-90.40.030 of the Zoning Code, the Rural Floodplain Map, to change the map designation of approximately 1.47 acres from Rural Floodplain to Urban Floodplain on an approximate 4.46-acre parcel located at 3451 East Lake Mary Road.
 
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
 
Staff recommends the Planning and Zoning Commission, in accordance with the findings presented in this report, find that the requirements of the Zoning Code have been met, and make a recommendation to the City Council for approval of the Zoning Code Text Amendment.

GENERAL BUSINESS
 
A.
Discussion:Case No. PZ-19-00125 Updates to Zoning Code 2020 – Miscellaneous Part 1
Request for a work session with the Planning and Zoning Commission to discuss the City's request to amend the zoning code to resolving conflicts, incorporating technical corrections and clarity, add and modify definitions, and to add, delete and modify the codes requirements. The proposed amendments affect, but are not limited to, the provisions of the code's: administration and procedures, general to all provisions, non-transect and overlay zones, supplemental to zones, building height, accessory buildings, equipment screening, landscape buffers, signs, specific to building types, and definitions.
 
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
 
No action of the Planning and Zoning Commission is required.
 
B.
Discussion: Mountain Line Bus Rapid Transit Discussion 
 
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
 
Mountain Line is in the planning phase for a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route from Flagstaff Medical Center to Woodlands Village. This presentation will explain what BRT is and provide background, current status, and next steps of the project.  This presentation is for information only and no action is required of the Commission.
