Call to Order
Chairman Zimmerman called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m.

NOTE: One or more Commission Members may be in attendance telephonically or by other technological means.

At this time, any member of the public may address the Commission on any subject within their jurisdiction that is not scheduled before the Commission on that day. Due to Open Meeting Laws, the Commission cannot discuss or act on items presented during this portion of the agenda. To address the Commission on an item that is on the agenda, please wait for the Chair to call for Public Comment at the time the item is heard.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Approval of Minutes from the regular meeting on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
 

Moved by Carole Mandino, seconded by Dr. Alex H. Martinez to approve the minutes from the regular meeting of February 10, 2021 as submitted

Vote: 6 - 0 - Unanimously

PUBLIC HEARING
 
A.
PZ-20-000141-02 Whispering Winds Sign Landmark Overlay
 
Staff recommends the Planning and Zoning Commission, in accordance with the findings presented in the attached report and attachments, forward the Direct to Ordinance Zoning Map Amendment request to the City Council with a recommendation for approval.
Mark Reavis, Heritage Preservation Officer, gave a PowerPoint presentatio on the proposed landmark overlay and answered questions from Commissioners.

Jose Alvardo, applicant representative, was present, briefly dicussed the project and answered quetions from Commissioners.
 

Moved by Carole Mandino, seconded by Gaylene Soper PZ-20-00141-02 Whispering Winds Landmark Overlay in accordance with the findings presented in the attached report and attachments, forward the Direct to Ordinance Zoning Map Amendment request to the City Council with a recommendation for approval.

Vote: 6 - 0 - Unanimously

Appointments: Incentive Policy for Affordable Housing and related Zoning Code Update Workgroup
 Commissioner Nolan, Commissioner Soper and Commissioner Mandino have all volunteered to be apart of the incentive policy workgroup
