NOTICE OF OPTION TO RECESS INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION
Pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Heritage Preservation Commission and to the general public that, at this regular meeting, the Heritage Preservation Commission may vote to go into executive session, which will not be open to the public, for legal advice and discussion with the City’s attorneys for legal advice on any item listed on the following agenda, pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(3).

Continue the HPC review to a date certain and ask the applicant to come back with a modified proposal that meets Downtown Design Review Requirements working with the HPO for compliance.
Mark Reavis, Heritage Preservation Officer, Introduced the applicant and provided an overview of the project. Noted that the Certificate of Appropriateness was submitted with the windows pre-purchased.
Applicants, Vanessa and Tom, introduced themselves and provided an overview of the project and process so far.
Mark Reavis, stated that he has provided a recommendation for the item to be continued to a future date certain.
Shelli Dea, asked whether the windows being replaced are the ones represented in the attached photo?
Mark Reavis, clarified which windows are being replaced.
David Hayward, asked whether Mark Reavis would be able to approve this administratively.
Sara Dechter, explained that the commission could vote to allow Mark to approve the project with conditions that they outline beforehand.
David Hayward, asked Mark to clarify why this came to the commission at this point.
Mark Reavis, stated that he felt it needed to come to the commission because he had received the submission.

- Vanessa explained that the primary concern is condensation and water damage to the wall, which are the most significant historical components of the building.
Mark Reavis, stated that he has provided a recommendation for the item to be continued to a future date certain.

Mark Reavis, stated that he went to State Heritage Preservation conference and gave a presentation. There are opportunities for some trainings for the commission
Sara Dechter, asked the commission whether they would be interested in restarting the review and update of Zoning Code Section 10.30.30.
David Hayward, stated that he would be interested in starting up with that review again.
