Call to Order
Mayor Evans called the Joint Work Session of the Flagstaff City Council and representatives of the Navajo Nation Tribal Council of September 14, 2017, to order at 8:30 a.m.

Others present: City Manager Josh Copley; City Attorney Sterling Solomon; Deputy City Managers Barbara Goodrich and Shane Dille; Assistant to the City Manager Caleb Blaschke.

Meet and Greet with Flagstaff City Council and Navajo Nation Tribal Council and President.
The City Council and staff met with Speaker of the House Bates from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Speaker Bates emphasized the need for the two groups to come together and overcome the issue of reclaimed water use on the peaks.
A break was held until 10:30 a.m. at which time City Council and staff met with President Begay. President Begay discussed the various tribal initiatives. Discussion was held about the interest of both the Tribe and Council in building relationships.
