SUBJECT:
Approval of the Agreement for Development of King's Landing with Audubon Development, Inc.
SUMMARY:
At the Special Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency Meeting on June 13, 2019, the FPRA Board evaluated the two proposals received in response to RFP 2019-003 for the Redevelopment of the Former H.D. King Plant Site. The FPRA Board voted to enter into negotiations with the highest ranked proposer, Audubon Development, for a period of 90 days. The 90-day negotiation period was set to expire on September 11, 2019. At a Special FPRA Meeting on September 9, 2019, staff requested and was granted a 60-day extension for the negotiation period. The negotiation is concluded, and a proposed development agreement is being presented for the consideration of the FPRA Board.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the approval of the Development Agreement of King's Landing with Audubon Development, Inc. for the redevelopment of the former H.D. King Plant site.
ALTERNATIVES:
Staff will proceed as directed by the FPRA Board.
