SUBJECT:

Approve Request for Extension of Time to pay lien reductions on 2404 Oleander Avenue, Ft. Pierce, FL 34982, Property ID Number 2422-604-0002-000-0 owned by Joan R. Stevenson (Est) and Evone McArthur, 2404 Oleander Avenue, Ft. Pierce, FL 34982, for a period of 12 months to December 3, 2020..

SUMMARY:

At their December 3, 2018 meeting the City Commission approved the reduction of fines in the amount of $358,550.00 (which consists of 3 liens) to $750.00 ($250.00 per lien) payable in 6 months.  On June 3, 2019 Mrs. McArthur was granted an extension of 6 months to pay the fines. To date she has paid $450.00 leaving a balance of $300.00. Her income is approximately $769.00 per year.  She is requesting an extension of 12 months to pay the balance.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff's recommendation is to approve the extension of 12 months to pay the balance of $300.00.
