SUBJECT:
Request to reduce Code Enforcement Lien in the amount of $60,840.00 against 5315 Edwards Road owned by Mariner Cove Fort Pierce LTD, 2379 Beville Road, Daytona Beach, FL to $836.32 (administrative costs) payable in 60 days.
SUMMARY:
The property owners, Mariner Cove Fort Pierce LTD, are requesting the City Commission waive $60,003.68 leaving a balance of $836.32 due. The Code Enforcement Board recommends approving the reduction to $836.32.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation is based on:
1. The company previously settled a lien against an adjoining property; 5496 Altman Road.
2. Altman Road lien reduction was approved by the City Commission, settlement was paid, and the release of lien was issued.
3. The property has been sold at a loss. When the title search was completed, the Edwards Road lien was discovered.
