SUBJECT:
Approval for FPUA to provide and install decorative street lights on the North 17th Street Roadway Improvement project in the amount of $125,130.00.
SUMMARY:
As a part of the North 17th Street Roadway Improvement project, FPUA will underground the electrical power lines. The power poles will be removed. Thirty-five (35) decorative LED light fixtures and poles will be installed along the corridor from Orange Avenue to Avenue D. FPUA will provide the materials and install the street lights.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval
ALTERNATIVES:
Change order to the North 17th Street Roadway contract to have the contractor purchase and install the city street lights at a higher cost.
