SUBJECT:
Discussion and direction regarding the future of the city's scooter share program following a 12-month pilot.
SUMMARY:
On June 14, 2019, the City of Fort Pierce entered into a short-term contract with Zagster, Inc. (now Superpedestrian, Inc.) for a scooter share pilot program. The scooter share program officially launched on September 12, 2019 and is set to expire on September 12, 2020.
RECOMMENDATION:
Evaluate performance of scooter share vendor and determine future of micromobility transporation offerings in Fort Pierce.
ALTERNATIVES:
Issue a Request for Proposals to continue scooter share program or discontinue scooter share program.
