SUBJECT:

Approve award of RFP No. 2020-036 - Nuisance Abatement to Mow 4 Less Lawn Care LLC and Gone Fishing Landscaping & More LLC for a contract to expire on September 30, 2021, with two one-year renewal options in the amount of $25,000 each per year. 

SUMMARY:

RFP No. 2020-037 was advertised on May 14, 2020 and May 21, 2020 with a scheduled opening at 3:00 PM on June 3, 2020. The bid invitation was sent to 388 vendors. Seven (7) vendors requested specification with four (4) responding and zero (0) "No Bid" (57.14% total response).

The services being provided are securing vacant structures, painting walls, fences or other structures defaced by graffiti, securing pools and any other such action as needed to address nuisance and unsafe conditions.

The City of Fort Pierce shall award a contract to two (2) primary contractors, the two most responsive and responsible bidders. It is the intention of the City to issue work equally to both contractors, however, the assignment of work shall be at the sole descretion of the Code Compliance Manager. Two contractors have been selected to ensure a continuation of service should one of the contractors be unable to perform the work assigned.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approval of the ranking below and to award to the top two highest ranked firms, Mow 4 Less Lawn Care LLC, Fort Pierce, FL in the amount of $25,000 for each year of the contract and to Gone Fishing Landscaping & More LLC, Fort Pierce, FL in the amount of $25,000 for each year of the contract. The term of the contracts will be for one year with two (2) one-year renewal options.
