Approval for the replacement of two access control gate systems for both the main police station in the amount of $34,900 and the Willie B. Ellis sub-station in the amount of $26,500, for a total amount not to exceed $61,400.  The replacement of the two access control gate systems will be completed by 1st Fire and Security, Vero Beach, FL .  

Currently, the security gates at the Police Department's main station and Willie B. Ellis substation are not functioning.  These gates control the ingress and egress of employees and provide security for police staff, vehicles, and equipment  in areas not open to the public. The Police Department requests approval for the replacement of two access control gate systems for both the main station in the amount of  $34,900, and Willie B. Ellis substation in the amount of $26,500, for a total amount not to exceed $61,400.  This is a continuation of the access control system previously approved at the 9/21/2020 consent agenda.   The quote represents design specifications to work with the current access control system that is currently being installed throughout the police department.  1st Fire and Security will be completing the work.  

To approve the amount of $61,400 for the replacement of both access control gate systems. 

To deny the request would leave the rear perimeter and parking area unsecured at the Police Department's main station and Willie B. Ellis substation.
