SUBJECT:

The police department requests approval to submit and accept the 2014 Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Grant in the amount of $20,000.

SUMMARY:

The Police Department requests approval to submit and accept the 2014 Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Grant in the amount of $20,000. There is no cash match requirement.

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation provides emergency service entities throughout the nation with vital funding, resources and support to adequately protect their communities. This grant will allow the police department to procure an All-Terrain Vehicle for search and rescue, emergency/disaster response and recovery purposes. Currently, the police department does not have an All-Terrain Vehicle in its fleet.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the request.
