Review and approval of an amendment to the Interlocal Agreement with St. Lucie County regarding Ilous Ellis Park renovation project.

The City and County were approached by the Khalil Mack Foundation to provide funding for the design and construction of substantial improvements to the Ilous Ellis Park, which is home to the field named in Khalil Mack's honor. In order to appropriately accommodate the request of this private donor, revisions to the 1998 interlocal agreement between the City and the County were necessary. The attached agreement outlines the roles and responsibilities of each municipality as it relates to the implementation of the project plan and the operation and maintenance of the park upon completion project. 

Staff recommends approval of the draft interlocal agreement. The agreement has been approved by the City Attorney as to form and correctness. The St. Lucie County Board of Commissioners approved the agreement and authorized the Chair to sign the agreement at its March 23, 2021 regular meeting.

Staff will proceed as directed by the City Commission.
