SUBJECT:
Approval of Specific Authorization No. 3 in an amount not to exceed $143,000 for professional engineering services to be provided by Captec Engineering, Inc.
SUMMARY:
Professional services are required in order to fulfill the design and permitting obligations required by the SFWMD Grant Agreement No. 4600004355 which provides 90% of the construction funding ($1,188,000) for a water quality project identified as Georgia Avenue Basin Water Quality Improvements. Consultant services to be provided include surveying, geotechnical, environmental assessments, engineering design, state and federal permitting, and bid services.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.
ALTERNATIVES:
Negotiate with another continuing service provider on the City's professional consultant list.
