SUBJECT:

Approval to award Bid No. 2021-023 for Sale of Surplus Property at 321 N 13th Street, identified by Parcel ID: 2409-131-0001-000-1 to highest ranked responder, Brego Construction.

SUMMARY:

The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency is the owner of real property located at 321 N 13th Street, identified by Parcel ID: 2409-131-0001-000-1, with a legal description of: 09 35 40 BEG NE COR OF LOT 1 BLK 3 OF MILE END S/D,TH W ALG N LI OF LOT 1 145 FT,TH N 50 FT,TH E 145 FT TO W R/W LI OF N 13TH ST,TH S ALG N R/W LI 50 FT TO POB (OR 2755-1261).

The property was declared surplus by the FPRA Board on January 16, 2018. The subject property is located on North 13th Street in the City of Fort Pierce, Florida. The lot is rectangular in shape and consists of +/- 0.17 acres or 7,250 square feet. The property abuts Moore’s Creek, a beautiful creek that traverses Lincoln Park and ultimately leads to the Indian River Lagoon. The property is directly across from the Oaks at Moore’s Creek neighborhood which is gearing up for phase II.

Bid number 2021-023 was issued on March 17, 2021. The invitation was sent to 425 vendors. Seven (7) responses were received for 321 North 13th Street.

In accordance with the Policy for the Disposition of FPRA-owned property, the CRA Advisory Committee reviewed the submittals and forwarded a recommendation to the FPRA Board for approval of the sale of real property located at 321 N. 13th Street, Unit A/B, identified by Parcel ID: 2409-131-0001-000-1, to Brego Construction, Fort Pierce, Florida.
 

RECOMMENDATION:

Award bid for 321 N. 13th Street, A/B to highest ranked respondent, Brego Construction.

ALTERNATIVES:

Award bid to second highest ranked respondent or issue a new bid.
