SUBJECT:

Approval to award Bid No. 2021-023 for Sale of Surplus Property at 1409 Avenue J, identified by Parcel ID: 2404-810-0004-000-1 to highest ranked responder, Progression Properties.

SUMMARY:

The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency is the owner of real property located at 1409 Avenue J, identified by Parcel ID: 2404-810-0004-000-1, with a legal description of: RE-S/D OF JELLISONS S/D BLK C LOTS 4 AND 5 (OR 2868-1582).

The property was declared surplus by the FPRA Board on January 16, 2018.The subject property is located on Avenue J in the City of Fort Pierce, Florida. The lot is rectangular in shape and consists of +/- 0.23 acres or 10,080 square feet. This property is located in the historic Lincoln Park district and is located less than a half of a mile from the nationally recognized Lincoln Park Academy.

Bid number 2021-023 was issued on March 17, 2021. The invitation was sent to 425 vendors. Six (6) responses were received for 1409 Avenue J.

In accordance with the Policy for the Disposition of FPRA-owned property, the CRA Advisory Committee reviewed the request and forwarded a recommendation to the FPRA Board for approval of the sale of real property located at 1409 Avenue J, identified by Parcel ID: 2404-810-0004-000-1, to Progression Properties, Fort Pierce, Florida.

RECOMMENDATION:

Award bid to highest ranked respondent, Progression Properties.

ALTERNATIVES:

Award bid to second highest ranked respondent or issue a new bid.
