SUBJECT:
Approve award of design services to Marlin Engineering, Inc., (Ref. RFQ No. 2019-027 - Professional Engineering Services) for a portion of the SUNTRAIL passing through Fort Pierce in an amount not to exceed $282,019.21; amount is 100% reimbursable from FDOT.
SUMMARY:
Engineering is requesting approval of a proposal from Marlin Engineering, Inc. to provide contract documents, including plans, specifications, supporting engineering analysis and calculations to construct a 8' to 14' wide paved multi-use trail through Historic Downtown Fort Pierce. The total distance of the project is approximately 0.95 miles. The total cost of the design contract will be $282,019.21 and will be 100% reimbursed by FDOT.
RECOMMENDATION:
Engineering recommends approval of the proposal from Marlin Engineering.
ALTERNATIVES:
Reject proposal and move to another continuing service provider.
