SUBJECT:
Legislative Hearing - Ordinance 21-033 amending Chapter 2, Sec. 2-49 to modify the order of business of City Commission Meetings and amending Sec. 2-48 to address remote participation by City Commissioners at their meetings. FIRST READING
SUMMARY:
At the July, 2021 conference agenda, the City Commission discussed remote participation by Commissioners at their meetings which has culminated in the proposed ordinance. Additionally, after discussions with the Interim City Attorney, it was agreed that a change in the order of business will allow for public comment on items that may be added to the agenda.
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Ordinance 21-033.
ALTERNATIVES:
Adopt with modifications.
