SUBJECT:

Approval to take no action on Bid No. 2021-025 for Sale of Surplus Property on North 25th Street (2408-501-0067-000-3).

SUMMARY:

The City of Fort Pierce is the owner of real property located at North 25th Street, identified by Parcel ID: 2408-501-0067-000-3 with a legal description of: EMANCIPATION PARK BLK 5 LOT 2-LESS E 10 FT.
 
The property was declared surplus by the City of Fort Pierce on January 19, 2021.The subject property is located on North 25th Street in the City of Fort Pierce, Florida. The lot is rectangular in shape and consists of +/- 0.14 acres or 6,250 square feet. The property is located in the historic Lincoln Park district on North 25th Street, one of Fort Pierce’s most traveled commercial corridors.

In accordance with the Fort Pierce Code of Ordinances, Section 101-23 (4), the Planning Board reviewed the request and forwarded a recommendation to the City Commission of no action due to the proposal's inability to meet the goals and objectives for redevelopment in the targeted area. This recommendation is in accordance with the General Conditions included in the bid document on page 5, section 20.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends taking no action on this bid in accordance with the General Conditions included in the bid documents on page 5, section 20.
 

ALTERNATIVES:

Award bid to highest ranked respondent, 1865 Realty Group.
