SUBJECT:

Resolution 21-R57 approving the award of  Bid No. 2021-025 for the Sale of Surplus Property at 133 North 10th Street to highest ranked respondent, Brenda V. Smith and John D. Bess and  authorizing the sale.

SUMMARY:

The City of Fort Pierce is the owner of real property located at 133 North 10th Street, identified by Parcel ID: 2409-513-0010-000-9, with a legal description of: FAIRMAUR PARK BLK 3 LOT 2 (OR 4080-2366). The subject property is mostly cleared, rectangular in shape and consists of +/- 0.22 acres or 9,504 square feet.

The subject property was declared surplus by the Fort Pierce City Commission on January 19, 2021, via Resolution 21-R10. Bid number 2021-025 was issued on March 29, 2021. The City received five (5) responsive bids for 133 North 10th Street. City staff evaluated the responses cumulatively as follows:

In accordance with the Fort Pierce Code of Ordinances, Section 101-23 (4), the Planning Board reviewed the request and forwarded a recommendation to the City Commission for approval of the sale of real property located at 133 North 10th Street, identified by Parcel ID: 2409-513-0010-000-9, with a legal description of: FAIRMAUR PARK BLK 3 LOT 2 (OR 4080-2366) to Brenda Smith and John Bess of Washington, DC.
 
In addition, staff seeks City Commission approval of Resolution 21-R57 for the sale of 133 North 10th Street, Fort Pierce, to Brenda V. Smith and John D. Bess in the amount of Thirteen Thousand and One Hundred Dollars ($13,100.00) as determined by the City Commission to be the highest bid for the Real Property.

Award bid to the highest ranked respondent Brenda Smith/John Bess and
Approve Resolution 21-R57
