SUBJECT:

Approval to enter into contractual negotiations with highest ranked proposer on RFP No. 2015-043 for the redevelopment, transfer or sale of surplus land located generally at 1920 Seaway Drive.

SUMMARY:

The City of Fort Pierce received two (2) responsive proposals for the redevelopment, transfer or sale of surplus land located at approximately 1920 Seaway Drive. 

The selection committee was comprised of:  Nick Mimms, Deputy City Manager, Linda Cox, City Clerk, Kori Benton, Senior Planner, Libby Woodruff, Grants Administrator and Shyanne Helms, Marketing Specialist

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval to enter into contractual negotiations with the highest ranked proposer, James Burg (Jam-Three LLC) of Jupiter, Florida.

ALTERNATIVES:

Enter into contractual negotiations with the remaining proposer Smyth Builders of Fort Pierce, or seek additional proposals.
