SUBJECT:

Approval to award the Oaks at Moore's Creek Phase II Infrastructure Improvements to the sole bidder, PRP Construction Group, LLC, in an amount not to exceed $635,449.15.  This award request is $495.00 higher than the submitted bid which was corrected due to an error in addition by the proposer.

SUMMARY:

This project will extend Means Court between Avenue B and Moore's Creek to support a fifteen (15) lot affordable housing subdivision.   Improvements to be constructed include curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveway aprons, drainage facilities, water distribution system, sanitary sewer collection system, natural gas main, street lighting, underground electric, and landscaping.  This project was initially presented to the City Commission on November 15, 2021, where allocation of infrastructure funding in the amount of $722,352.69 was approved.
 

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

Deny and re-bid the project.

Funding of the project shall be encumbered from the following sources:
  • $331,882.08 from Road Impact Fees, Account No. 110-1111-563100
  • $161,283.34 from SMU Contractual Services, Account No. 403-4300-534900
  • $142,283.73 funding to be presented to the FPRA Board for final approval, January 2023
