SUBJECT:
Approve the purchase of 624 ninety-six (96) gallon GREEN Trash Carts from Toter in an amount not to exceed $31,110.40.
SUMMARY:
The Public Works Department seeks the procurement of 624 (96) gallon GREEN Trash Carts (containers) for replacement & inventory from Toter. Toter has provided refuse containers for City of Fort Pierce for server years and the subject model has been standardized by Solid Waste Division for inventory and replacement.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Public Works Department recommends contract award to Toter, Inc. of Statesville, N.C. in the amount of $31,110.40.
ALTERNATIVES:
Advertise a competitive bid for this specific equipment which is anticipated to be more time consuming and costly.
