SUBJECT:
Approval of an agreement between the United States Department of Transportation and the City for the administration of the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant in the amount of $240,000.00 which was awarded on January 31, 2023.
SUMMARY:
On January 31, 2023 the City was notified that the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) had awarded $240,000 in grant funds for the City of Fort Pierce Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. Since that time, staff has been working with USDOT and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) staff to develop the attached agreement.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Commission authorize the Mayor to sign the Agreement
ALTERNATIVES:
If the Agreement is not signed, the City will forfeit the Grant.

FISCAL IMPACT:
