CORRECTIVE ACTIONS:
- Repair all termite damaged floors and floors that are otherwise deteriorated.
- All windows must be easily openable and able to stay open on their own.
- Remove all plywood from windows.
- Windows must be able to be shut and be weather tight.
- Replace all damaged exterior door hardware.
- The structure has termite damage and it has been reported that it is infested with termites. Please treat for termites or provide proof that treatment is not needed.
- Equipment must be provided for sanitary food preparation.
- Repair or replace damaged sinks.
- Piping repairs made under the kitchen sink are not acceptable.
- Repair the loose toilet.
- The bathroom must have a door with operable locks.
- The shower must be provided with hot water.
- The house must be supplied with heat.
- Several of the electrical outlets are not properly operable. Inspect and repair the electrical system as needed.
- Install smoke alarms throughout the house.
- It appears that several alterations have been made to the back of the house including the addition of a wall and the elimination of a door, installation of a toilet, sink and shower. Obtain permits for these alterations.
RECOMMENDATION:
The City requests that if the Special Magistrate finds the violation exists, the violator(s) be given 60 days to obtain a permit and comply with all permit conditions or a fine of $100.00 per day be assessed.
