SUBJECT:
Approval to piggyback St. Lucie County Annual Striping Contract C19-02-162 with TRP Construction Group for the Delaware Avenue Parking Striping from 17th Street to US 1 in the total amount of $51,445.00.
SUMMARY:
Staff has evaluated the existing on street parking along Delaware Avenue from 17th Street to US 1 to determine if additional spaces could be created. The 1997 striping plan indicated a total of 124 spaces on Delaware Avenue. The revised parking layout includes 148 spaces for an increase of 24 spaces.
Staff contacted TRP Construction Group and requested a fee proposal to re-stripe Delaware Avenue. TRP Construction Group recently completed Okeechobee Road re-striping for the City under their St. Lucie County Annual Striping Contract. Staff is proposing to piggy-back the St. Lucie County Annual Striping Contract for this work as well. TRP's fee proposal is in the amount of $51,445.00 and is attached.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends awarding the piggy-back contract to TRP Construction Group in the amount of $51,445.00 for the re-striping of Delaware Avenue from 17th Street to US 1.
The Purchasing Division has reviewed and investigated thie procurement process for this item and found all terms and conditions meet the piggyback requirements of the City of Fort Pierce.
