Approve and award RFP No. 2015-049 Property and Casualty Insurances to  Florida Municipal Trust (FMIT) through the Florida League of Cities, Inc., Orlando, FL.

On July 22, 2015, the City advertised a solicitation for Property and Casualty Insurances.  The invitation was sent to 463 vendors.  Twelve (12) vendors requested specifications with three (3) responding.  Proposals were opened on September 3, 2015 and forwarded to Siver Insurance  Consultants for review and evaluation.  On September 14, 2015, the City Property and Casualty Insurance Evaluation Team (Director of Administration, Director of Finance, Purchasing Manager and Risk Manager)  had discussions with Siver Insurance Consultants via conference call to determine which proposal to recommend to the City Commission.

The Property and Casualty Evaluation Team and Siver Insurance Consultants would like to recommend the Florida Municipal Trust (FMIT) through the Florida League of Cities, Inc. for the renewal of the City's Property and Casualty Insurance Coverages at an annual premium of $1,229,513.00.  This renewal premium is  $114,241.00 less than FMIT 2014/2015 package premium cost.  In addition the City can expect a premium refund of $52,194.00 from property premiums during the 2013/2014 policy year.

Accept proposal from World Risk Management (Public Risk Management of Florida) or Brown and Brown (Preferred Governmental Insurance Trust)
