SUBJECT:
Approve the purchase of 360 64-gallon and 360 96-gallon recycling carts from Toter, Inc. in the amount not to exceed $40,236.00
SUMMARY:
The Public Works Department seeks the procurement of 360 64-gallon and 360 96-gallon recycling carts from Toter, Inc. The 96 gallon carts will be used to implement the Multi-family Single Stream Recycling Program. Toter has provided these containers to the City of Fort Pierce for several years, and the subject model has been standardized by Solid Waste for inventory and replacement.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Public Works Department recommends contract award to Toter, Inc. of Statesville, N.C. in the amount of $40,236.00
ALTERNATIVES:
Advertise a competitive bid for this specific equipment which is anticipated to be more time consuming and costly.
