SUBJECT:

Award RFP 2024-013 for Disposal of Surplus Property, N. 25th Street, Lot 1 & 2 identified by Parcel IDs: 2408-501-0066-000-6 and 2408-501-0067-000-3, to the highest responsive bidder, Larry Lee Jr. & Family, LLC., and authorize staff to enter into negotiations for the sale of the property. 

SUMMARY:

The City of Fort Pierce is the owner of real property located at TBD N 25th St, identified by Parcel IDs: 2408-501-0066-000-6 & 2408-501-0067-000-3, with a legal description of: EMANCIPATION PARK BLK 5 LOT 1-LESS E 10 FT and EMANCIPATION PARK BLK 5 LOT 2-LESS E 10 FT. The properties were declared surplus by the Fort Pierce City Commission on January 19, 2021, via Resolution 21-R10. Request for Proposal (RFP) number 2024-013 was issued on October 27, 2023. The invitation was sent to 455 vendors. Ten (10) vendors requested specifications with two (2) responding.

In accordance with the Fort Pierce Code of Ordinances, Section 101-23 (4), the Planning Board reviewed the request and forwarded a recommendation to the City Commission for approval of the sale of real property located at TBD N 25th St, identified by Parcel IDs: 2408-501-0066-000-6 & 2408-501-0067-000-3, with a legal description of: EMANCIPATION PARK BLK 5 LOT 1-LESS E 10 FT and EMANCIPATION PARK BLK 5 LOT 2-LESS E 10 FT to Larry Lee Jr. & Family, LLC.
 

RECOMMENDATION:

Award RFP 2024-013 for Disposal of Surplus Property, N. 25th Street, Lot 1 & 2 identified by Parcel IDs: 2408-501-0066-000-6 and 2408-501-0067-000-3, to the highest responsive bidder, Larry Lee Jr. & Family, LLC., and authorize staff to enter into negotiations for the sale of the property.

Award the bid to the second highest ranked respondent or issue a new bid.
