Approval of contract with Kimley Horn and Associates to perform the required tasks to develop a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan; city matching funds required  in the amount of $60,000.00.

At the City Commission Regular Meeting on January 16, 2024, the City Commission authorized Staff to enter negotiations with Kimley Horn and Associates to complete a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan in accordance with the Safe Streets and Roads for All Grant. This federal grant provides $240,000 for the City to evaluate City streets and roads for safety improvements. The City will provide $60,000 in matching dollars to complete the Action Plan. It is anticipated the Action Plan will be complete in June of 2025. 

Staff has completed the negotiations and the Agreement has been approved by the City Attorney's office as to form and completeness. 

 

Staff recommends that the City Commission approve the contract and authorize the Mayor to sign. 

Do not sign the contract and negotiations will resume.
