SUBJECT:

Specific Authorization #7 to RFQ 2019-027 for Captec Engineering Inc for professional engineering design services for the Nebraska Avenue Sidewalk Project.

SUMMARY:

The City received federal Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funding and is working with the Florida Department of Transportation to design and construct new sidewalk along Nebraska Avenue from Lawnwood Circle to North 13th Street. Consultant Services are needed for the design and engineering support of the project.

Under RFQ 2019-027, Captec Engineering is one of the City's Annual Services Design Professionals. Staff has coordinated with Captec Engineering to provide the attached Scope and Fee proposal for the Nebraska Avenue Sidewalk Project.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of Specific Authorization #7.

ALTERNATIVES:

If this Specific Authorization is not approved, staff can reach out to other Annual Services consultants or advertise the design of this project.
