Certificate of Appropriateness #24-27 - Rehabilitation - 515 N. 14th Street

SUMMARY

The applicant is requesting approval of a COA for a rehabilitation of the single family home with associated driveway, parking and landscaping.

RECOMMENDATION

While the overall proposal is consistent with Secretary of the Interior standards, staff recommends the Historic Preservation Board approve the request with recommendations that:
· Additional architectural details, like decorative window shutters are incorporated into the final design to better comport with the  character of the historic district;
· The site plan will be amended to show a 20-foot driveway, to accommodate parking for two cars (as indicated on the landscape plan).
· As many trees as possible will be preserved;
