Resolution 24-R31 authorizing the acceptance of FDOT Standard Agreement for the Florida Standard Use Nonmotorized (SUN) Trail Network Agreement between the City and FDOT for funding for Right-of-Way Acquisition.

At the June 17, 2019, City Commission Regular Meeting the City Commission approved an agreement with FDOT for the funding of the design of the Historic Downtown Retrofit SUN Trail project. The City requested additional funding for the acquisition of Right-of-Way for the SUN Trail project. That funding was approved and an Agreement with FDOT is required to accept the funding.

In April 2023, four properties were identified to be impacted by the trail project. The list is attached for reference. The trail location has since been revised and additional properties may be impacted but have not yet been fully identified.



 

Staff recommends accepting the funding and approving the Agreement and authorizing the Mayor to execute the Agreement.

If the Agreement is not accepted, the City will need to fund the Right-of-Way acquisition using City funds.
