SUBJECT:
Resolution 24-R38 Amending the Rules of Procedure for Special Magistrate.
SUMMARY:
Amendments to the Rules of Procedure include:
- Updates to match revisions in Ordinance No. 24-012 - Nuisances
- Providing for hearings before the Special Magistrate.
- Providing how fines, costs and liens are assessed.
- Providing for reductions of fines, costs and liens that were assessed.
- Updates to match revisions in Ordinance No. 24-013 - Code Enforcement
- Expanding definitions.
- Amending procedures for Special Magistrate proceedings.
- Amending procedures for assessing fines and liens.
- Amending procedures for reductions of fines and liens.
- Clarifying procedures for initiating foreclosure of liens.
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt the Resolution as presented.
ALTERNATIVES:
Amend the Resolution.
