Approval of expenditure for lease quote from John Deere for new golf course maintenance equipment to arrive approximately 10/1/2025, for an amount not to exceed $97,000 annually, for a total amount of  $424,937.06.

Equipment production and delivery require one year lead time, so with approximately 12 months remaining on our current lease, we are seeking approval of the new quote to solidify current pricing prior to any additional increases as well as to get onto the delivery schedule for the fall of 2025. 
The new equipment would not arrive until approximately 10/1/2025, so it would be included in the budget for fiscal year 2025-2026.
By executing a new lease, we would also ensure that all equipment would be covered under warranty, with the exception of any maintenance items. (Belts, Bearings, etc.)

Staff's recommendation is to approve the John Deere quote for several reasons: 
Their pricing is more affordable, their warranty is more comprehensive and their equipment would be under one monthly lease payment, as opposed to having an equipment lease as well as a separate tractor lease.

Hector-Toro is the other large golf course equipment manufacturer, but they are more expensive, their warranty is not as comprehensive, and we would need an additional lease through Kubota for the tractors needed.
