Resolution 24-05: Granting or Denying a Time Extension for the Sale Agreement of 612 N 25th St

SUMMARY:

On November 14, 2023, the FPRA entered into an Agreement pursuant to Resolution No. 23-05 for the sale of property at 612 North 25th Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34947. The Agreement required the Grantee to develop a neighborhood park, Village Garden of Hope, following a specified Development Timeline.

Per the Agreement, the Grantee was obligated to apply for all necessary approvals and permits within 180 calendar days of the title's conveyance. The property was conveyed on February 22, 2024, establishing an August 20, 2024, deadline.
The Grantee did not meet this deadline and has requested a 180-day extension. If approved, the new deadline to obtain the required approvals would be February 16, 2025. The developer is currently working on incorporating site plan changes recommended by the Planning Department, after which the contractor will submit applications for the required building permits.

RECOMMENDATION:
